Officially recognized as an AO Specialty in 1974, the goal of AOCMF has always been to foster a multi-Specialty organization to serve as the voice and professional resource for individuals working in the field of craniomaxillofacial trauma and reconstruction. Today, the AOCMF community embodies a unique culture of teaching and learning, combined with research and development. The universal spirit of this community transcends borders and Specialties, benefitting both patients and healthcare providers across the globe.

AOCMF educational development opportunities
Approximately 70 AOCMF educational events are held every year. Click here for a list of worldwide courses.
The AOCMF community also supports between 25-30 fellowships a year to provide additional experience in AO techniques for fully trained CMF surgeons with an interest in trauma. These fellowships are available in 4-8 week increments at designated hospitals worldwide. For more information, please click here.
